All Ayurvedic treatments are done only after consultation with our Ayurvedic doctors. The doctor will decide the right kind of Ayurvedic therapy – type of treatment differs for each individual. The doctor determines the course of action and treatment is based on the diagnosis. The treatments treat the cause from the root and not just the symptoms. The doctors spend time with the patient; clearly understand the exact difficulties faced by the patient, their lifestyle, eating habits etc. They explain the treatment to the patient, answer their questions, and prescribe the right after-care, and post- treatment routine.

Kerala is famous globally for many reasons including its famous Ayurvedic treatments that are as natural as nature can get! This preventive and curative science from time immemorial has been treating all living beings in a holistic manner considering their physical, mental and spiritual aspects. This age-old medical system utilizes wisely almost everything in nature to be used for treatment and applies its time-tested therapeutic procedures and formulations for treating diseases. These Ayurvedic medicines are famous for curing several obstinate and supposedly incurable diseases. There are different types of Ayurvedic treatments depending on the type of condition.
The treatment approach of Kerala Ayurveda is completely scientific. The main aim of the treatment (which includes medicines, therapies, diet, exercise & regimens) said in Ayurveda is to balance the three doshas/ body principles. These 3 – the vata, pitta and kapha get deranged on the advent of any an unhealthy state. When you deeply analyze the three principles, it becomes clear that vata – constitutes the unseen energy level of one’s body; pitta – the chemical reactions, metabolism, and heat emitted; kapha – constitutes the complete structural component of the cells. Thus its approach in treatment goes to the exact root of a disease thereby balancing the energy level, normalizing the metabolism, and maintaining the structural integrity of the cell. For attaining this health conducive balance of the body Ayurveda adopts two main ways.
One is shodhana/purificatory therapy wherein panchakarma treatments are mainly employed to eliminate the imbalanced doshas out from the body through the nearest natural holes. The second way, usually employed on a short-term basis is the Samana/pacifying therapy wherein the imbalance of the doshas is brought in control by the use of medicines or therapies alleviating the diseased condition.
Before any purificatory treatment, the deranged doshas has to be dislodged from their sites and brought to the respective channels for easy elimination through the natural holes (nostrils, mouth, anus, sweat pores). Just like cleaning dirty clothes using hot water, toxins and other unwanted substances from the body cells get dislodged and liquefied (by the use of oil treatments and other sudation/sweating therapies both internally and externally) which upon giving purificatory medicines gets cleared from the body like dirt squeezing out from washed clothes. These supreme treatments usually last for a minimum of 7 days to a maximum, depending on the severity of the disease and the strength of the patient.
The limitations of other medical streams like allopath in treating most of the degenerative, autoimmune, lifestyle-oriented and stress-related disorders have paved the way to a more widespread global acceptance of Ayurveda. The possible side-effects of the medications being used in allopath make people think and find new ways to a better health, and the ultimate search of which ends up in Ayurvedic treatment.
